Push-pull Folding Doors with Advantages and Components

Push-Pull Folding Door: Introduction to Its Structure

The push-pull folding door mainly consists of a door frame, door panels (also called door leaves), transmission components, jib parts, transmission rods, and guiding devices. This type of door can be installed either indoors or outdoors.

Each door unit typically includes four panels—two center panels and two side panels. The panels are connected by hinges along one edge, allowing them to fold smoothly. On the opposite side, upper and lower shafts connect the door leaves to the shaft holders on the frame, enabling them to rotate during opening and closing. One end of the shaft is equipped with jib and transmission components, while the upper part of the door frame houses the drive mechanism and motor.

The middle panel features a guiding device to ensure smooth and aligned movement. When the motor is activated, two gears in each transmission unit rotate, driving the racks in a linear motion. These racks are connected to rotary arms, converting the linear motion into circular motion, which in turn opens or closes the door panels electrically.

A safety protection device is installed between the two center panels. If an obstacle is detected during operation, the doors will automatically return to the fully open position, ensuring safe and reliable use.

Push-Pull Folding Door: Key Advantages

Push-pull folding doors are stylish and modern, available in a variety of colors. Their smooth push-pull functionality allows for easy operation while saving space.

They are lightweight and offer excellent performance in thermal insulation, moisture resistance, fire retardancy, and soundproofing. They also resist acids, alkalis, and corrosion, maintaining long-term chemical stability. These doors are smoke-free, easy to clean, and resistant to discoloration, making them ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, and toilets.

In addition to residential use, they are widely applied in offices, workshops, and large commercial areas for purposes such as insulation, dust and pest control, zoning, and partitioning.
